FlyDay South Florida
FlyDay South Florida is a program that gives students in K-12 schools across South Florida exposure to piloting with the aim of helping them to connect with their passion for flight and to learn the pathways to a career in piloting. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the thriving aviation industry in South Florida. Scholarships to go on a discovery flight at this event are only open to K-12 students in South Florida, however, admission to this event is open to all aviation enthusiasts from South Florida and beyond.
FlyDay South Florida features:
Discovery Flight
Students that are passionate about piloting and have always dreamed of flying will have an opportunity to express that passion by going on a discovery flight through a scholarship.
Certification
Scholarship recipients are usually very excited to take a discovery flight especially for the first time and we award them a certificate to commemorate this milestone that they have achieved
Networking
Students will have an opportunity to connect with airline pilots at the event and get expert opinions on current industry trends.
Information Session
Here students will learn the pathways to a career in piloting and the opportunities that facilitate the process.
